Medal of Honor Recipient: Ordinary Seaman John Davis

Rank and organization: Ordinary Seaman, U.S. Navy. Born: 1854, Kingslow, Jamaica. G.O. No.: 326, 18 October 1884.

Citation: On board the U.S.S. Trenton, Toulon, France, February 1881. Jumping overboard, Davis rescued Augustus Ohlensen, coxswain, from drowning.
