Medal of Honor Recipient: Gunner's Mate First Class Frederick Thomas Fisher

Rank and organization: Gunner's Mate First Class, U.S. Navy. Born: 3 June 1872, England. Accredited to: California. G.O. No.: 55, 19 July 1901.

Citation: On board the U.S.S. Philadelphia, Samoa, Philippine Islands, 1 April 1899. Serving in the presence of the enemy on this date, Fisher distinguished himself by his conduct.
