Medal of Honor Recipient: Sergeant Terrence Begley

Rank and organization: Sergeant, Company D, 7th New York Heavy Artillery. Place and date: At Cold Harbor, Va., 3 June 1864. Entered service at: ------. Birth: Ireland. Date of issue: 1 December 1864.

Citation: Shot a Confederate color bearer, rushed forward and seized his colors, and although exposed to heavy fire, regained the lines in safety.
